(Tea Party 247) – The purge continues.

As Trump supporters and MAGA movement adherents continue to be maligned by the establishment culture as scapegoats for the January 6th Capitol Hill riots, Democrats in Congress are moving to set in stone this ostracization of conservatives.

Many a Trump supporter has recently found themselves quietly fired or their livelihoods otherwise threatened by this disturbing siege of all things MAGA from the public sphere.

Now, Big League Politics reports that Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-FL) should also be barred from being hired by the public sector as well!

Murphy, who it will disturb you to learn is a member of the House Armed Services Committee, recently proposed a bill that would prevent adherents of the “Stop the Steal” movement or “QAnon” followers from being able to obtain security clearances.

Anyone who wishes to serve in the U.S. armed forces or in a number of positions within the federal government must obtain security clearances to do so.

“This bill would essentially bar any American that has rallied in support of President Trump post-election or publicly voiced concern about election fraud from being able to hold a job in the Armed Forces or any federal law enforcement agency,” BPL notes.

As the Daily Beast reported:

“The legislation, titled the Security Clearance Improvement Act of 2021, requires applicants looking to obtain or renew their federal security clearances to disclose if they participated in the Jan. 6 rally in Washington—or another ‘Stop the Steal’ event—or if they ‘knowingly engaged in activities conducted by an organization or movement that spreads conspiracy theories and false information about the U.S. government.’”

Oh yeah no, that’s totally not Orwellian at all.

Trump supporters would be barred for an actual thought crime from serving their country.

This is much more than just ostracization—it’s actually a very chilling attempt to cleanse the federal government and the military of the people most likely to scrutinize these sectors for corruption and constitutionality.

BLP charges that “The bill inherently targets Trump supporters and anyone questioning the fraudulent results of the 2020 election or just the government in general. Murphy, a vocal supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement, has yet to propose any legislation targeting members of ANTIFA or BLM for their largely unpopular and destructive ‘Summer of Love’ which took the lives of many and resulted in billions of dollars worth of damage.”

The double-standards certainly is mind-numbing.
