Liberals all over the country are trying to take advantage of law enforcement every chance they can find. Democratic-controlled regions are seeing police forces defunded and crime rates going up. And for the time being, they are trying to pin it all on the Republicans.
The part that makes no sense is that every time a police officer-related arrest is made or force is used to stop a criminal, the liberals want to attack the police. And now they are getting bold enough to demand payment for being arrested or taken down for crimes they were in the process of committing.
Jacob Blake is one of those people seeking damages for injury sustained in a police officer-related incident. Blake was found wielding a knife and attempting to get into a vehicle when a police officer shot him. Law enforcement was called to the scene of a domestic disturbance and found Blake. He refused to listen to directions, and that is when the police had to act.
Blake was putting everyone in danger by not listening to the police. He thought that he could walk away with a weapon in his hand. But he found out he should have just obeyed.
But now that things have blown over, he wants money. And he wants $50,000 of it. Blake hired a lawyer to make his case. After all, in Kenosha, the criminals think that they have the right to do whatever they want.
When the matter was brought to the city council for a vote on whether or not to pay Blake his money, the council decided 17 – 0 to deny his demands. Jacob Blake cannot profit from his crimes. He needs to know that there are consequences for carrying a knife and refusing to listen to police officers.
Blake stated that he wanted the money for medical reasons. But his medical issues are a result of his choice to commit crimes. The city of Kenosha caps the amount a person can sue for at $50,000. But Blake is not stopping because they voted against him. He has plans to push his case into the court system.
The liberals have done a fine job of brainwashing people into thinking that they can demand anything from anyone. The Democratic way is a place where the criminal can sue victims for any harm they may sustain during a crime they are committing. It is a backward system that takes advantage of the victim.
Blakes lawyer stated that “The federal civil rights suit is being pursued, and the potential state claim, essentially the same cause of action with caps on damages, would be superfluous of it. We are considering options.”
The officer involved in the shooting was never found guilty of doing any wrong. He acted within set parameters and did his job to the best of his ability. The Police Chief for Kenosha is Daniel Miskinis. He stated that the officer involved was allowed to return to active duty following the investigation.
Miskinis stated that “He acted within the law and was consistent with training. This incident was also reviewed internally. Officer Sheskey was found to have been acting within policy and will not be subjected to discipline.”
Blake was the one that caused all the trouble, and he should not be allowed to sue for any damages. He did the deed, and now he must suffer the consequences of his choice to engage in criminal activity.
The Chief also stated that “As of March 31, 2021, Officer Sheskey has returned from administrative leave. Although this incident has been reviewed on multiple levels, I know that some will not be pleased with the outcome; however, given the facts, the only lawful and appropriate decision was made.”
Blake is responsible for the fallout of his actions. The city went through a period of violence because of the crime he was committing. He should be made to pay for all the damages to the city and put in prison until he learns that crime does pay the $50,000 he wants for compensation. Blake will just have to live with the choice that led to his injuries.
