We have gone from ‘COVID will kill us all’ to ‘COVID isn’t any worse than a cold’ in under two years. The number of changes in advice and ideas as to what the American people need to do to keep their lives going like normal is astounding. Yet, to each change, the people have risen to the challenge. Despite this, many of us stopped about a year ago when Dr. Fauci kept changing everything to make it more difficult to keep people under government control.
This year has been a record-setting number of changes. First, it was the unvaxed people who were the only ones getting COVID. Then, they were the ones passing it. Next, those who took the jab got the virus and were making it vaccine-resistant. It’s just been a never-ending cycle of change.
Now, the biggest misinformation is coming about how the booster will save us all, despite the latest variant causing little more than common cold symptoms, and most people only learn they have it when they take a test to keep someone else happy. This is a great sign for COVID going away, and it is something we should be celebrating. Great timing, too, as New Year’s Eve is right around the corner.
Yet Dr. Fauci’s appearance on CNN recently looked to put the kibosh on the whole thing. “But when you’re talking about a New Year’s Eve party where you have 30, 40, 50 people celebrating, you do not know their vaccination status. I would recommend strongly: stay away from that this year. There will be other years to do that, but not this year.” Thank God I nor anyone I know truly listens to this man blindly.
This is a year we need to be out celebrating in full force. The CDC finally dropped the ‘quarantine if near someone who has it’ time from 10 days to 5 days. Again, given how mild the Omicron variant has been (despite much of the mainstream media fear-mongering), it only makes sense to drop the number of days to quarantine. Just not much sense in locking people down for no reason.
So why the flip-flop for NYE, then, Dr. Fauci? We go out and take the risks any other day of the year. We work with people and don’t know their vaccination status. We run into them every day on the sidewalks and in the stores. It’s not like we go around asking people’s status or if they have COVID now. We, instead, go about our lives minding our own business. Just like we have for decades. Why mess up a good thing with more laws and regulations?
Because the goal for the Democrats is to make everyone fully dependent on the government. They want to see you need them at every turn, and the best way to start making that happen is to start controlling every aspect of your daily life. This isn’t an easy feat either. People inherently don’t want to be held back from achieving what they set out to do, and having the government acting as agents against this is not good.
If you talk to the Democrats (and get a reasonable conversation instead of yelling), their idea is that it’s all for the ‘greater good.’ No this isn’t a bad joke from Shaun of the Dead but it’s actually their mindset for this. That the government being in control is for the greater good and it will fix things much faster. Know who else used these ideas? The Nazis in the 1930s. Time to eliminate these mindsets and get them to acknowledge that freedom beats oppression.
