Florida Calls out CDC for Their Lies About State’s COVID Numbers as Biden Administration Puts Pressure on State to Comply

The Biden administration really needs Florida to fail. Seriously, if they didn’t have aggressively worse COVID-19 numbers than the rest of the country, that would make the administration and their health officials look bad, right? I mean, if we’re being perfectly blunt, all diplomacy aside, the political machine on the left benefits greatly from Florida’s COVID plans going down in a giant ball of flames.

But, for that to happen, people would have to die, and do we really think our politicians would sacrifice anyone, especially the most vulnerable that way? You’re probably thinking, are politicians really that heartless? I can’t answer that for you, but I can remind you of one former New York governor Andrew Cuomo.

So, with that in mind, let’s talk about Florida and its strained relationship with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the lie that Florida caught the would-be fourth branch of government in about their COVID-19 statistics.

According to a report in The Daily Wire, the Florida Health Department had to take their beef with the CDC public, which makes sense since the CDC posted incorrect COVID-19 numbers about the state of Florida.

On Monday the CDC apparently combined the reported COVID-19 cases creating a news bulletin and graph that was both scary and misleading about the trajectory of coronavirus in Florida.

“Wrong again. The number of cases [CDC] released for Florida today is incorrect,” the Florida Department of Health (FDOH) Twitter account wrote. “They combined MULTIPLE days into one. We anticipate CDC will correct the record.”

The state agency captioned their message with a tweet from the South Florida Sun-Sentinel which was reporting based on the CDC’s erroneous data:

“The CDC reported 28,317 new cases on Sunday, which WSVN reported would mark the most confirmed infections in one day in the state since the beginning of the pandemic,” Fox News reported. “Multiple media organizations picked up on the number and the department corrected the stories online with some bite.”

The correct information, according to the FDOH states there were 15,319 cases on Sunday and a three-day average of 18,795. The department also went out of their way to note that they follow the CDC’s guidelines for reporting cases, and while Florida has exceeded the per-capita cases from some other states, their citizens seem to still be delighted with Gov. Ron DeSantis and his stance on maintaining individual’s freedoms.

The governor’s stand has made him the target of much hate from the left and especially from the Biden administration (possibly because they see him as a possible 2024 contender?) However, the Republican governor isn’t taking a backseat to the COVID hysteria yet. As he gains more trust from his residents he has gained the courage to ban mask mandates, vaccines, passports and anything else he feels is government overreach.

So, coincidence? Did the CDC make an honest mistake here? If not, this could be the smoking gun to show that the government is actually doing what conservatives have feared and manipulated the numbers of COVID cases to try and move public opinion in whatever direction is most politically expedient at the time. If the government reserves the right to lie to us, even if it’s “for our good,” we don’t really have a government we can depend on, now do we?

If Americans are meant to be treated like responsible adults given to make their own decisions based on accurate information, then we have a big problem when the CDC screws up. However, we have an even bigger problem if they didn’t screw up.

But, it’s probably fine, right? What’s just one little lie among a government and its people? I mean, if you’re sure that’s the only time they’ve lied about the pandemic . . .
