The January 6 committee in the House to investigate the “insurrection” has been a joke from the very start. Speaker of the House Pelosi has been on a witch hunt – and we all know it.
Kevin McCarthy, House Minority Leader, has pointed out that the committee isn’t even following the law. There aren’t enough committee members, and Pelosi booted all of the people that he wanted to be assigned to the committee. The only Republicans in the committee were carefully chosen by Pelosi because they are RINOs who absolutely loathe Donald Trump.
The investigation continues to dig up dirt, even though there’s none to be found. And they recently issued subpoenas to five Republicans, including Jim Jordan (R-Ohio). He’s got a few accusations of his own…
Jordan hasn’t decided if he’s going to comply with the subpoena just yet. However, he was asked by a Spectrum News reporter about it and he said, “We’re taking a look at the subpoena…and we’ve already found that this committee has altered evidence and lied to the country.”
Considering that the committee is comprised of Democrats and Trump-haters, it’s not surprising that they did any of this.
Democrats have lied and tainted evidence before – just look at what Adam Schiff did during the impeachment hearing against Donald Trump.
As of right now, it sounds like Jordan isn’t going to comply. He explained, “So, I think anyone would have reservations about going in front of a committee that’s already doctored evidence and lied to the country about it.”
Subpoenas have been issued left and right from the committee for over a year. And most people don’t comply with them – partly because the committee doesn’t really have the legal authority to issue them. It’s all because of the way that the committee was created – yet the Democrats don’t seem to care about the law.
Failing to comply with a subpoena could be problematic. Jordan may also have the ability to serve as House Judiciary Committee chair next year if the GOP regains control after the midterms, which is what is suspected to happen. Is Jordan concerned, though? Not at all.
The “doctored evidence” that Jordan is referring to is all because of the way that Adam Schiff has misattributed and misrepresented a text that Jordan forward to Mark Meadows on the day of the Capitol riot.
When it came out that Schiff had presented the text incorrectly, they admitted that they “inadvertently” shortened a text and added a period.
The text wasn’t issued by Jordan. Instead, he forwarded it from attorney Joseph Schmitz. The text read “On January 6, 2021, Vice President Mike Pence, as President of the Senate, should call out all electoral votes that he believes are unconstitutional as no electoral votes at all – in accordance with guidance from founding father Alexander Hamilton and judicial precedence.”
Schiff and the rest of the shady Democrats conveniently stopped the text right before the em dash, which changes the text entirely.
It seems that everyone who has ever received a subpoena has the same thing to say about this committee – it’s illegitimate.
The moment that Schiff was found to have doctored evidence and presented information falsely, the committee’s investigation should have come to an end. And realistically, the committee shouldn’t even be allowed to proceed considering they don’t have enough members per the law.
So, to put it lightly, Jim Jordan isn’t concerned. Not in the slightest. And nor should he be.
