Melania Trump Blasts ‘Fake News’ Reporting on Her Time in White House

Former first lady Melania Trump is being treated unkindly by the media, and not for the first time. But the former supermodel turned first lady has been pushing back lately and it’s every bit as entertaining as it sounds like it would be.

In sharp juxtaposition to their treatment of former first lady Michelle Obama, Melania Trump was treated like a pariah in all the circles that should have been delighted by her presence. The elite from New York and Washington D.C. that formerly fawned over the younger wife of the real estate tycoon were now pointedly at odds with her.

The fashion world, previously her home, was hit with the “woke stick” and wouldn’t have anything to do with her (all except one designer) and despite her stunning good looks, she was never afforded the opportunity her predecessor was to take her influence to magazines and books while in office.

While she kept her interactions with the media primarily tame during the four years she spent in the White House, the former first lady has taken her gloves off and isn’t going to stand by and let the slander go unchecked.

The most recent affront to the Slovic immigrant was on the part of NBC resident historian Michael Beschloss who came out with some strong commentary about renovations done to the White House Rose Garden, accusing the former first lady of “eviscerating” the garden, saying that she destroyed American history with her updates according to a report in The Daily Wire.

Beschloss who, not without consequence, has been consistently a harsh Trump critic, posted a viral tweet over the weekend of a very bleak and bare Rose Garden saying:

“Evisceration of White House Rose Garden was completed a year ago this month, and here was the grim result—decades of American history made to disappear,” he captioned the post which was seen as a clear slam toward the Trump administration and specifically the first lady.

His comments did not sit well with Melania Trump, her staff, or most Trump supporters, prompting the former first lady to set the record straight and unmask Beschloss for his attempted deception:

“[Michael Beschloss] has proven his ignorance by showing a picture of the Rose Garden in its infancy,” the office said via Twitter. “The Rose Garden is graced with a healthy & colorful blossoming of roses.”“His misleading information is dishonorable & he should never be trusted as a professional historian.”

Wow, there’s no vengeance like telling a historian that they got the history wrong. This is particularly damaging to someone whose livelihood depends on them being able to put facts into context and leave his listeners more informed than when he found them. However, if the former first lady’s office is to be believed, the anti-Trump historian bent the truth quite a bit to get his personal jab at the firmer first couple to work.

At the time the renovations took place Melania Trump said that “Her office said she wanted to make the area more closely resemble the original 1962 design by Rachel Lambert Mellon during the Kennedy administration,” according to a report in The Hill. It was a worthy cause and one that was well within the rights of her position as first lady.

However, in pursuit of their narrative that everything the Trump family did was tacky and off-putting, the left was even willing to put down their beloved Jacky O to put down Melania, and it was a sad sight to see.

Since the advent of the Biden administration, the “concerned” anti-Trumpers have started a petition for first lady Jill Biden and our first ever “first gentleman” to chance the garden once again. It appears the rabid left wants every reminder of Trump erased from the White House, regardless of who else is insulted along the way.
