It seems the democratic socialist can’t stop putting her foot in her mouth. This time, she decided to mess with a U.S. Army combat veteran and he’s not one to play.
AOC tried to defend anti-semite Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar after Crenshaw criticized her for making an outrageous comment about the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
According to news reports, Omar was caught on a video saying that on September 11, 2001, “some people did something” and that has caused Muslims to become victims of discrimination.
Here’s the video:
She said,
“CAIR was founded after 9/11, because they recognize that some people did something, and then all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.”
She continued saying,
“You can’t just say that today someone is looking at me strange, that I am going to try to make myself look pleasant. You have to say that person is looking at me strange, I am not comfortable with it. I am going to talk to them and ask them why.”

Rep. Crenshaw couldn’t believe the way she characterized the horrific terror attacks as merely “some people did something.”
He took to Twitter and posted,
First Member of Congress to ever describe terrorists who killed thousands of Americans on 9/11 as “some people who did something”.
Unbelievable. https://t.co/IKtoZWWmIT

For whatever reason, AOC felt compelled to defend the anti-Israel Omar and went after Rep. Crenshaw for his attack on Omar.
She said,
“You refuse to cosponsor the 9/11 Victim’s Compensation Fund yet have the audacity to drum resentment towards Ilhan w/completely out-of-context quotes.”
And yes, the word “Victim’s” is misspelled because that’s how she spelled it out.
Here’s AOC’s tweet in response to Rep. Crenshaw:
You refuse to cosponsor the 9/11 Victim’s Compensation Fund, yet have the audacity to drum resentment towards Ilhan w/completely out-of-context quotes.
In 2018, right-wing extremists were behind almost ALL US domestic terrorist killings. Why don’t you go do something about that? https://t.co/rkb92IxkKX

It didn’t take long for people to come to Crenshaw’s defense. The man lost an eye in the service of his country, yet Ocasio-Cortez has the NERVE to tell him to “GO DO SOMETHING” about terrorism!
Here are some tweets of people defending Crenshaw:

Liz Cheney chimed in as well:
There is no context in which @IlhanMN description of 9/11 as “some people did something” is anything but disgraceful. Defending her is shameful, especially for a representative from NY. https://t.co/15jGij29Ya

Should Ocasio-Cortez publicly apologize to combat veteran Rep. Crenshaw for her remarks?
