Ocasio-Cortez Family Member Reveals Truth About Puerto Rico Claims
(UnitedVoice.com) – A radical Democrat congresswoman got tripped up from an unexpected direction last week after one of her own relatives shredded her claim that former President Donald Trump was behind delays in aid to Puerto Rico.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez caused an uproar on June 2, when she complained that her grandmother had been waiting four years for relief money after her home was damaged by Hurricane Maria in 2017. Of course, AOC blamed the delay on President Trump, claiming he’d blocked aid payments.
Now the motormouth socialist has just been shot down by her own aunt. On June 12, the relative – who refused to give her name to reporters – blamed the delay on officials in Puerto Rico. “It is not a problem with Washington,” she said. “We had the assistance and it didn’t get to the people.”
While AOC will blame anything she can on Donald Trump, there’s already plenty of evidence that Puerto Rico has handled aid badly. The territory’s emergency management chief was fired in 2020 after a warehouse full of unused emergency supplies was discovered – THREE YEARS after the deadly storm. In 2018, the mayor of San Juan, who also blamed Trump, was raided by the FBI in a scandal over misused federal funds. AOC should know all this, but she keeps pushing the “blame Trump” line. Will her own family be able to rein her in?
