Veterans Request Warnock Remove Himself From Georgia Senate Race

(UnitedVoice.com) â Georgia has become ground zero in the fight for America. The stateâs two runoff elections will decide which party has control of the Senate. Thatâs what makes one candidateâs past remarks so disturbing.
In 2011, Democratic Senate candidate Rev. Raphael Warnock gave a sermon where he said itâs not possible to âserve God and the military.â It was an insinuation that American soldiers are sinners. Dozens of Georgia veterans are now asking him to drop out of the race, calling his comments âdespicable and flat-out wrong.â In a letter, they said âtrue leaders recognizeâ the sacrifices soldiers have made for their country.
Republican Senator Kelly Loeffler, his opponent, called the Democrat out for his disgusting comments, as well.
Iâm the daughter & granddaughter of veterans, and proud to serve on the VA Committee.@ReverendWarnock â this is despicable, disgusting, and wrong.
You owe our active military & veterans â who sacrifice so much for our country â an immediate apology. pic.twitter.com/QIDOmRGC78

Our soldiers are the bravest in the world. They put their lives on the line every day to make sure Americans are safe. If it werenât for them, the US would not even exist. How can Warnock serve this country as a senator if he doesnât appreciate their sacrifices?
